My family moved from Tucson, AZ in 1965 to Las Cruces, NM. I grew up with a love for agricultural, the outdoors and Native American History.  I graduated from Las Cruces High School and attended NMSU for a couple of semesters before moving to Portland, OR in 1979.  While in Oregon I started my banking career working for US Bank of Oregon for 10 years both in Portland and Medford.  Once back in Las Cruces I continued in the banking field with United NM Bank.  Following my banking career, I was the financial secretary at a local church, worked as a bookkeeper at La Casa the Domestic Violence Shelter and finally retired from Kriegel/Gray/Shaw, Inc. 
In the past I was involved with and served on the board of the local NAMI chapter, I enjoy hiking with friends and am in a reading club.  I was in Junior High when I had my first glimpse into the history and my eventual interest in the Taylor home.  One of my teachers made arrangements with the parents of fellow classmates, including Pat Taylor, to tour several homes in the area.  The Taylor home was one of the homes we toured.  The history, style and contents of the home amazed me.  I'm honored to be a part of the newest NM State Historic site as a gift shop volunteer and serve on the board as the bookkeeper.
