The Barela Store — a unique gift shop on the Mesilla Plaza
The Barela Store, immediately adjacent to the Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site, is a gift shop featuring souvenirs, books, textiles, jewelry, toys, and folk art from the Southwest and across the world. The store is operated entirely by volunteers from the Friends of the Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site. All proceeds help to support the activities, events, and programs sponsored by the nonprofit Friends of TMHS.
