The Friends of the Taylor-Mesilla Historic Site host events that celebrate our local heritage, art, and community. From family-friendly activities to seasonal tours and talks, each event brings you closer to the rich cultural story of Mesilla, Southern New Mexico, and the Borderland.
All events are open to the public unless otherwise noted. We invite you to join us, participate, and experience living history in the heart of Mesilla.

Annual Nacimientos Tours
Enjoy a bit of festive history with the annual Nacimientos Tour, a treasured tradition in the Taylor Home that celebrates our collection of nativity scenes from across the Southwest and Latin America. Visitors can explore the Taylor family’s display of handcrafted nacimientos while enjoying holiday refreshments and music.
Taylor Talks
A continuing series of lectures and discussions that highlight the art, architecture, and cultural history of the Mesilla Valley. Local historians, educators, and guest speakers share insights on preservation, family heritage, and the broader story of life in Southern New Mexico.
